      How to Sell a Physical or Digital GoTab Gift Card

      You can easily sell GoTab physical, RFID or digital gift cards from your POS.

      How to Sell a Standard Physical Gift Card

      Order Flow:

      1. Start a tab and choose a spot
      2. Choose your gift card product then select “physical” for your gift card type. 
      3. Scan the gift card QR code with the device's camera, a barcode scanner, or input the gift card number manually.
      4. Then, choose the gift card amount and add the gift card to the tab.
         Customize chosen amounts on the gift card product in your product catalog. To learn how to set up gift cards, click here. 
      5. Click Add and pay the tab out as normal.

      How To Sell an RFID Gift Card

      Highly recommend to use the GoTab Pass RFID reader.

      Order Flow:

      1. Start a tab and choose a spot
      2. Choose your gift card product then select “physical” for your gift card type. 
      3. Click Scan RFID 
      4. Then, choose the gift card amount. You can customize chosen amounts in your product catalog. To learn how to set up gift cards, click here. 
      5. Click Add and pay the tab out as normal.

      How to Sell a Digital Gift Card

      Order Flow:

      1. Start a tab and choose a spot
      2. Choose your gift card product then select “digital” for your gift card type. 
      3. Choose whether you want to send the digital gift card via Phone or Email and input the appropriate information for the recipient.

      4. Then, choose the gift card amount. 
      5. Click Add and pay the tab out as normal. Once the tab has been closed, the recipient will receive a notification with the link to claim their gift card. Claiming their gift card adds it to their GoTab customer wallet. 

      Note: Digital gift cards live within a customer's GoTab wallet. Customers cannot print these gift cards from the email they receive to claim a gift card. That is a claim QR, not the actual gift card. Guests can access their gift card QR/digital gift card number at gotab.io/cust/account. It will show under the gift cards section as a payment method.
