How To Create a Fee

Examples of fees: COVID fee, plastic bag fee, CRV fee, food fee, & takeout fee

Feature definition: Create a fee on an entire order or tied to a specific product. 

• Click "Order Rules" on the left-hand menu
• Hit the + to create a fee
• Set the fee either on the Entire Order or on a Specific Product

Set a Fee on the Entire Order 

• Step 1 & 2: Name the fee (Covid fee, plastic bag fee, or takeout fee) 
• Step 3: Click "Entire Order" 
• Step 4: Set % or $ amount 
• Step 5: Click "No" 
• Step 6: You may choose to set a minimum 
• Step 7: Click "No
• Step 8: Click "Yes" 
• Step 9: You may choose to create fees for specific zones
• Step 10: Click "No" 
• Refresh the page and toggle on the rule 

Set a Fee on a Specific Product

• Click "Order Rules" on the left-hand menu
• Hit the + to create a fee
• Step 1 & 2: Name the fee (CRV fee) 
• Step 3:  Click "Entire Order" (even though the fee impacts a specific product) 
• Step 4: Set % or $ amount 
• Step 5: Click "Yes," type in the name of the product, and add the quantity
• Step 6: You may choose to set a minimum 
• Step 7: Click "No"
• Step 8: Click "No"
• Step 9: Click "Yes"
• Step 10: You may choose to create fees for specific zones
• Step 11: Click "No" 
• Refresh the page and toggle on the rule 
• Lastly, in the product catalog, click on the specific product, and add the same tag used in the order rule
